Hanit Lyla Simon, Esq., is an associate with Birnbaum, Lippman, & Gregoire, PLLC.  Ms. Simon represents individuals in a wide variety of Family Law proceedings. She began her legal career as a prosecutor for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, where she was awarded the Spirit Award for outstanding courtroom performance. Ms. Simon continued to practice law in civil litigation with a focus on real estate but found her calling as a Family Law practitioner after volunteering to take on cases for Broward County Veterans. Thereafter, Ms. Simon was invited to join the United Way of Broward County, MISSION UNITED Veterans Pro Bono Project, as the Family Law Staff Attorney. In this capacity, she represented numerous Military Veterans, Service-Members, and Reservists. Ms. Simon returned to private practice, where she is a zealous family law advocate and has continued to improve the lives of individuals and families.

Ms. Simon has presented on Family Law topics to the Judiciary of the 17th Circuit, Unified Family Court, Broward County Bar Association “Raising the Bar” Family Law Seminar, Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Veterans advocate groups, and local law schools.  Ms. Simon also serves on the Florida Bar grievance committee.

When outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, including three amazing sons.
